The Town of Andrews, NC operates under the Mayor-Alderman form of government. Our Mayor and Board of Aldermen are elected for staggered terms, every four years, and they work to improve Town Government by:

• Adopting an Annual Budget
• Creating Ordinances
• Setting Utility Rates
• Administering Town Services

Town of Andrews Government Meetings

Andrews’ Mayor and Board meet on the first and second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Town Facilities building located at 85 Fourth Street.

Meetings held on the first Thursday are work sessions, wherein the Mayor and Board review and discuss any issues affecting our town. However, no official action or vote is taken at these meetings.

The regular Town Board meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month and items that are on the agenda are voted upon, at this time.

During these monthly meetings, the public is invited to comment or to express concerns with the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen.

How it Works

The Town of Andrews, NC is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Town Administrator, who provides professional advice and pertinent information as the Mayor and Board develop local policy. The Town Administrator is responsible for preparing and recommending the annual Operating and Capital improvement budget for consideration and subsequent approval by the Board.

The Town of Andrews administration consists of a Water Clerk, Tax Collector, Public Works Director, Finance Officer, and Town Clerk in addition to the Town Administrator.
